option 1:

Recommended for Prep – 6.

Students will be involved in a rotation of activities providing them with the skills and knowledge to safely build and drive a Billy Cart. Students will be constructing a Billy Cart from start to finish, driving a Billy Cart safely, building their own object out of different materials using the skills learnt and designing their own Billy Cart. During the Incursion students learn about following step by step instructions, using tools, driving technique, knot tying, force and motion. A fantastic hands-on session!

option 2:

Recommended for Years 7 – 12
|
Students will test their teamwork skills by following a building procedure to construct a Billy Cart in small groups. After which students will participate in a safety briefing and driving practice. Students will complete the session by competing in a Billy Cart time trial. Students will learn about following a procedure, units of measurement, using tools, driving technique, force and motion, simple machines and more!
Billy Cart Kits – To maximise the knowledge gained from the Incursion, Billy Cart kits are available for purchasing. Each Billy Cart kit comes complete with all parts required to build a fully functioning billy cart as well as an easy to follow procedure.
Billy Cart CD Rom – A whole term's planning done for you! Over 100 Billy Cart themed lessons and activities relating to all areas of the curriculum at your fingertips.

- 1st Preference - Indoor Gym
- 2nd Preference - Outdoor Basketball Court
- 3rd Preference - Large hall or classroom & nearby outside court
- At least 2 staff members present throughout the incursion to assist with supervision
