We can offer your students one session a week over the course of a whole Term. The extended unit of Billy Cart Building allows students to explore the elements of designing, creating, building, decorating, safety and racing in much more detail. Students can work in teams over the Term aiming to complete the program with the famous Billy Cart Derby. This program is fantastic for engaging students and building on teamwork skills as well as reinforcing school rules and values. Schools may wish to explore the possibilities of fundraisers on the race day, auctioning off billy carts or even give students the option of donating billy carts to a charity of their choice.
Students will take part in a range of team work focused sessions allowing students to work in teams and build on their teamwork skills. Activities include various team building activities, orienteering/treasure hunt skills, silly science experiments, tabloid sports games and brickworks (lego). This is a fantastic opportunity for your students to learn a range of hands-on teamwork games and activities as well as building on social interaction, cooperation and teamwork. We can also build towards students working as peer support leaders and running a team building session for younger students in the school.
