Tinkering is a science based incursion, devised to get students thinking about how things around us work. This incursion has an experimentation and exploration focus. The instructor will discuss basic principles of electricity and safety. Students are able to investigate by tinkering safely with various things. Learning by doing! Activities include making a range of electrical circuits, investigating old machines and solar power. All students will take home their own circuit making kit with motor. We also provide worksheets that are downloadable from our website that you may wish to print and copy for your students. They are differentiated according to Year Level and designed to consolidate the learning from the incursion. See below for how this incursion links to the Australian Curriculum.
