Orienteering
Can your students think outside the box to navigate their way through an array of puzzling cryptic clues on our treasure hunt?
option 1:
Recommended Grades 3 - 6

Students will be involved in several fun introductory activities aimed at teaching direction and orientation. Students will then weave their way through an Orienteering/Treasure Hunt Course following cryptic clues and using their newly attained knowledge. Throughout the session students will learn about how to use a compass, basic principles of direction and orientation, geospatial skills and working together as a team. Great fun!

option 2:
Recommended Years 7 - 9

After tuning in with some warm up games recapping on some basic principles of orienteering, students will be sent on an orienteering course. Students will be required to work as a team to follow clues to various points of the course. Students will learn about direction, orientation, mapping and plotting coordinates.

Please note: We are able to set up an Orienteering Course in any school setting so don’t worry, you’ll have the space required for us to run this Incursion!
