Physical Science

Explore heat, forces, magnetism, light, pressure, energy and more as we inspire your students to love science!

 

RECOMMENDED FOR YEARS 3-6

This incursion challenges students to think critically about forces and energy and explore their various forms in innovative ways. They will investigate heat and discover how it can be used effectively as a source of energy.  Students will identify friction, magnetism and pressure as contact and non-contact forces, and investigate how different materials impact their movements.Additionally to this, student will explore a 'science museum' rotation covering many areas of physical science. 

Our qualified teachers are fantastic at tailoring this session to suit your focus so please give us as much detail as possible and we will make it happen. 

All you need to do is check the criteria in 'Important Information' below and we will do the rest.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • A large unfurnished Gymnasium or Hall is required for this incursion
  • Our instructor will arrive an hour before your start time to set up
  • 6 trestle tables or the equivalent are required for this session. 
  • This session runs for 90 minutes.
  • 33 students maximum per session (approximately)
  • We will structure the sessions around your school timetable
  • Teachers must be present during the session
  • A minimum 75% deposit must be made 7 days from the date of booking for your incursion to go ahead.
  • You will be invoiced in accordance to your normal student numbers. Please let us know if there are any variations on the day and we will amend the invoice accordingly.

This incursion has been designed around areas of the grade 3-6 science curriculum.

Common focus areas throughout this incursion are:

  • Communicating observations
