Students are challenged to develop lateral and critical thinking skills as part of a team to complete a range of exercises and solve various cryptic clues. What better way to build student confidence and expression than with this 75-minute incursion that gives students the safe space to learn and express themselves through dance. Qualified teachers will guide students as they move through some simple, safe and fun dance routines. Students will learn how the communicative power of dance builds confidence, which they will apply through improvisation of their styles and selection of costumes from our extensive range. The emphasis is on having a go – there are no wrong moves which means we will get everyone dancing! In this 90-minute survival skill development adventure, students apply their STEM, budgeting and teamwork skills as they compete to see who can build the most sturdy shelter tested against the elements of Hurricane Supreme. Using activities that link their mathematics, design, communicative and negotiation skills, students learn about various human-made and natural shelters and discover why they are built the way they are. Students are challenged to develop lateral and critical thinking skills as part of a team to develop a shelter they all find safety in.
